WINE FAIR

Wine fair

With new-age wines increasing in popularity all the time, it’s no surprise that the volume of wine-related events that are taking place around the UK each year are also on the rise. Wine fairs and tastings can be anything from corporate hospitality events through to local, regional, national and even international wine fairs, attracting producers, wholesalers and retailers from all around the world.

Wine fairs not only provide the perfect opportunity to taste wines but also for industry professionals to network and close those all-important deals for the future. In terms of a ‘league table’, France and Italy are always competing for the top spot in the best wine production region of the world, closely followed by Spain, then the USA, Argentina, Australia and the rest.

So what sort of wine fair equipment is required in order to produce the perfect large scale wine fair event?

First and foremost, large wine fairs such as the London International Wine Fair, for instance, could be seen as an exhibition in that producers from around the world have their own ‘stand’. The key to any successful exhibition stand is the quality of the furniture that is being used, and for wine fairs we’d recommend freestanding bar units or counters along with stools and poseur tables to provide an informal look and feel which will entice and engage visitors to the stand.

That said, this is a wine fair after all and so sampling of the wines is critical, and there are a few key pieces of hire equipment that are specific to wine fairs and occasions.

Firstly, you need to hire ISO wine tasting glasses. ISO stands for the International Standard for Standardization and this specific wine glass is the professional wine industry standard. It has a specific shape to allow wines to breathe for sampling purposes. Few hire companies can compete with the quantity of ISO tasting glasses available at easyEventhire with us holding over 50,000 in stock - this being the largest stock holding anywhere in the country.

Secondly, you will need to hire spittoons. A spittoon is a receptacle into which people spit out the wine after having ‘tasted’ it. Spittoons are available in a range of different styles here at easyEventhire, including small table top spittoons through to freestanding chrome spittoons.

Of course, with the volume of glasses being used at international wine fairs only holding a small amount of wine and also a fresh glass being used for tasting different wines, it’s critical that you also consider how you are going to wash these glasses behind the scenes. After all, having crates of dirty and used ISO glasses stacked up on an exhibition stand doesn’t give the right impression! So, why not hire glasswashers to ensure that your stands always have access to fresh glassware.

These are just a few of pieces of wine fair equipment hire that are available to hire online here at easyEventhire. We take pride in being able to help event professionals create niche events such as these, so why not browse and place your secure order 24/7 and work with the experts!
